What To Expect When You're Expecting. Or Postpartum. Or Just Need Some Pelvic Floor TLC.

Pelvic floor physical therapy is NOT one size fits all.  Gone are the days of telling women to "just do kegels" to fix everything and anything related to the pelvic floor.  Here's how I see it... Let's take a look at you.  Let's look at posture, breathing pattern, how your spine moves.  Let's figure out what's working well and what needs a little more love.  Let's look at your hips, your tailbone, and yes your pelvic floor (but only if you are on board).  We will start with an initial evaluation, discuss your goals, and then figure out a plan that works for you.  Yes... you will have homework.  But if you do your homework, you won't have to see me very often!!!  Pelvic floor physical therapy is not your standard physical therapy frequency of 2 times a week for 6-8 weeks.  I prefer to see you once every 2-3 weeks.  You do the work in between sessions, come back, and then we progress.  Typically in pregnancy I want to see you 3 times (20 weeks, 32 weeks, 37 weeks).  I 100% want to see you at 6-8 weeks postpartum for a core/pelvic floor check and then we can figure out how many sessions after that (typically 3-4).  For women with other concerns- let's start with an evaluation and go from there.  Have more questions?  Let's chat for 15min first before setting up an evaluation.  I want to make sure I'm the right person for you.

Yes, Yep, 100%... You Deserve Better Pelvic Floor Guidance!

Think of all the changes your body goes through during pregnancy! Your uterus grows 500x larger throughout pregnancy.  Your center of gravity shifts forward drastically as your belly starts growing placing high demand on your back and SI joint .  Your ligaments are like Gumby.  Women go to SO many doctor appointments while pregnant but those are primarily focused on the health and safety of the baby.  After baby… one appointment for the mother at 6 weeks.  We need to take care of the baby mama and help heal the body from labor & delivery and the past 10 months of changes.  You deserve to have a strong body again that allows you to do whatever you want!  You should not have to accept leakage, pelvic or back pain, or diastasis recti as your new normal.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Megan is an incredible pelvic PT and a huge (if not the main) reason I got back to feeling myself postpartum. I travelled from Yuma to see here and she definitely knows her stuff- There’s unfortunately little education going on in the gynecologic community to patients and she was able to break everything down for me and stop gaslighting like I felt like my OB was. She definitely sees the whole person and was a pleasure to work with. I can’t thank her enough." -Brooke
